Using this alternative RPM sensor for the Spektrum telemetry system, you avoid the difficult mounting of the
included Spektrum optical sensor. This sensor only need 2 wires connected to the stop button/ignition coil.
You also avoid interruption of the signal caused by dust on the optical sensor.
Mounting:
Solder the red and black wires to either the stop button terminals or directly to the ignition coil terminals.
Make sure to connect the red wire to the ignition coil terminal that is closest to the cylinder.
The black 3-wire connector goes to the RPM port in the telemetry module or telemetry-enabled receiver.
Make sure the black/brown wire goes to the negative (-) connector and the orange/white wire goes to the
signal (~) connector.
